Program Description
The Skating School at Wollman Rink follows the Learn to Skate USA which is based on a progressive system of skating skills endorsed by USA Hockey and US Figure Skating. Students in levels 2 and 3 work on forward skating with momentum, beginning backward skating and stops. Level 4 introduces forward crossovers, edge glides basic turns and much more!
Youth skating skills classes run for 25 minutes with practice time during public session day of lesson.
Dates
October 30, 2026 - February 28, 2027
Rain dates are anticipated in the program.
Skaters attend 10 of 15 scheduled dates.
No need to arrange makeups for up to 5 missed/cancelled class dates.
Holiday Break
2026/27 Season Holidays, no classes.
Thanksgiving: Wednesday, 11/25 - Sunday, 11/29
Winter Break: Saturday 12/19 - Friday 1/1
MLK Day: Monday, 1/18
